This week’s Monday Listicles is 9 Made-Up Facts and 1 True Fact. So let’s give it a shot.
-
1) I have three sisters, none of whom live in the same state.
2) I love to see the sunrise.
3) I have traveled to every state except Maine.
4) When I was in the third grade, I wanted to be a trapeze artist.
5) I have never attended the Olympics.
6) I transferred to another high school after vandalizing the football clubhouse.
7) I took guitar lessons for six years.
8) I sang second tenor in two church choirs.
9) I have never been to a professional baseball game.
10) In seventh grade, I beat the world’s record for solving a Rubik’s Cube.
So, which one is true? The first person to guess correctly gets to be smug all day long!
I actually think it’s #3.
Nope! Although several of these are wrong in the details. In this case, I have been to every state except Alaska.
Is it 9?
Not 9!
I think it’s 9) I have never been to a professional baseball game. this is such a fun list and idea.
Nope! I have been to Dodger Stadium and Yankee Stadium, as well as a few minor-league games!
I’m guessing 5. I’m not sure why but it spoke to me. Great list 🙂
I’ve been to the Montreal Olympics and the L.A. Olympics (the ones in 1984; much too young for the earlier L.A. Olympics!).
I’m going with #2 – I hate getting up early, but since I have no choice it’s nice to have a little natural light show to watch…
Definitely not #2. I deeply resent the sun getting to sleep in later than I do, which it does most days.
Yes, I know how sunlight works.
I guess #6. Just because it sounds too bad to be made up!
No, although when we had to decorate it for game day, I did create a poster so violent that even the football team thought it was a little much.
For some reason, I’m guessing #3
I’ve been to 49 states, but one of those is in fact Maine. I still need to get to Alaska.
Sorry, I meant #4! (Trying to respond while in the car with a toddler is not easy. Good thing I wasn’t driving!)
No, yes, and yes! Which is to say, I wanted to be a bricklayer, not a trapeze artist, and yes, I know what you mean, and yes, it was!
Choir? Number 8?
You win! You can be smug for . . . well, the next few hours. Bravo! 🙂
Going with #9…just becasue!
Not #9!
7…my choice is 7. Did anyone pick that? Truthfully I skimmed the other comments so I can not be sure.
I don’t think anyone else picked #7, but it’s not correct. I took guitar lessons, but only for about six weeks.
#8 because your blog header totally makes you look like a soprano. Ellen
And yet I am totally a second tenor. Apparently I have the vocal cords of a much taller man.
I’d be so envious if you’ve actually been to that many states. But Maine is a weird one to skip (as opposed to say, Alaska). I’m guessing tenor since it’s too weird to make up 😉
You’re right on both counts–Alaska is the state I haven’t been to, and I’m a second tenor!
Trapeze artist sounds pretty cool. Much more then doctor or hair dresser 😉 great list!
