Santa Barbara: The Good

Back again from Santa Barbara, which has become our summer tradition. It’s not that we aren’t willing to travel anywhere else, it’s just that Santa Barbara is so nice, and so easy–easy to get to, and easy to be in. We got to see friends and family, and we revisited some greatest hits:

I know what you're thinking. We packed too much stuff.

Although we did need an awful lot of it.

Wait, where's Baguette?

We found a new-to-us restaurant–Kyle’s Kitchen, which each month donates a portion of their proceeds to special needs organizations in the community.

After years of driving by and saying, “Next time I want to check out that place,” we explored Tri-County Produce.

Of course we went to the beach, again and again and again.

Where Mr. Sandwich made sand castles, and Baguette destroyed them.

And then, on the way home, this happened.

  1. Fun! I like having an easy go-to for vacation when you have a lot of other variables going on, like focusing on Baguette! PiC and I were also trying to figure out how to cut down on our stuff after a recent trip. Between the 4 of us, we are stuffed to the gills like you were!

  2. This looks, simply, magical . . . though I have “the bad” and “the ugly” still waiting in my feed.

We have a yearly traditional trip, as well — it re-energizes me. Every year, I try to find something new to add . . . we went kayaking, which is something I hope to include, yearly – but there was also a farmer’s market which happened to be open on the last day of our beach trip. I was beyond disappointed in it when I got there.

    1. Mr. Sandwich and I have done a little kayaking, but haven’t been since we had Baguette. Hopefully she’ll be up for it one of these days!

And disappointing farmers’ markets are very disappointing. I understand.
