When Baguette was about six weeks old, she received a giant penguin from one of Mr. Sandwich’s colleagues. Every month, we take her picture with it to show how she’s grown. I think this one says a lot, even without an earlier one for comparison.

Such a cute idea 🙂
We have the lines on the wall to show the kids just how tall they are, compared to how tall they were, when. Sometimes, the kids demand to measure themselves, so there are some random lines about.
We do that, too, but we are completely unsystematic about it. Every once in a while, one of us will say, “She looks like she’s grown. We should measure her.” And then 3-5 weeks later, we get around to it.
Same here 🙂
That photo is adorable. And I love the choice of a penguin as the size constant!
Sometimes Baguette carries it around and flaps its wings. Flight: A penguin’s dream.
I love the penguin as a growth chart. Great photo.
Thanks! Sometimes it feels like One. More. Thing. But we always wind up having a good time, and the pictures are fun!
